Qualification route to Scottish Masters Beach Volleyball @ Glasgow River Festival 2008

There will be 4 mens teams and 4 womens teams selected to play at the Scottish Masters Elite Event on 19th & 20th July 2008. We have allocated 2 mens and 2 womens teams from the Scottish Tour and have invited teams from the GB squads and a few others to come and play at the event to fill the other 2 places. If these invitations do not get accepted, then those places will be filled by the next best ranked teams on the Scottish Tour.

For Mens and Womens events, teams playing at Portobello and St Andrews events only will be ranked according to the criteria below. If teams cannot be separated using the first criterion, then the second criterion will be used, and so on until we have allocated all places available.

Ranking criteria for selection to the Scottish Masters in Glasgow

1. Number of Scottish Tour 2008 events won (with relevant partner)

2. Best Scottish Tour 2008 result (with relevant partner)

3. Total Scottish Tour 2008 points gained (with relevant partner)

4. Head-to-head results (with relevant partner)

5. Beach Commission decision
